Finding a clutch for the LSX powered vehicle that will hold both on and off the track has proven a to be a great challenge. With ever increasing horsepower levels coming from the next generation LS3, LS6 and LS7 engines, clutch failure has been found to be the weakest link delivering that power to the ground.
With the Textralia "OZ700™ Series" clutch, designed from relentless testing and development both in Australia and the USA we are pleased to present the answer to the calls of many who have been placed through the tread mill when selecting the right clutch for the most difficult task of all ... getting it right both on and off the street. From effortless non shudder bumper to bumper traffic right up to that mid 1.4 second to the sixty foot mark this clutch delivers the goods without the need for a bedding in period which often takes weeks.
That's right! The selected components within the "OZ700™ Series" clutch assembly have been perfectly matched, digitally machined and zero balanced for instant use.
The pressure plate houses a specifically designed high leverage diaphragm, capable of delivering high clamping forces just when it is needed moments before engagement and not during the clutch peddle movement, therefore giving the driver a progressive feel under foot whilst maintaining near stock pedal travel and pressure for the ease of street driving.
The silky smooth X-Grip friction disc is now an option with the existing OZ700 series line up! The X-Grip is a full 12" high performance carbon organic, sintered ceramic combination. Metal backed, bonded and riveted lining for high RPM and load carrying capacity.

SPEC Clutches Super Twin is a clutch designed for street and track use in cars with big horsepower and torque at the rear wheels.
Until recently there has been a drivability, maintenance and longevity trade-off with clutches built to handle 700-1500 ft lbs tq. The revolutionary new SPEC Super Twin has set a new standard offering near-stock drivability, tremendous life expectancy, a no shimming/setup bolt-in installation and maintenance free operation.
Billet construction these units are smooth and quiet.

High carbon billet steel milled to an industry leading .001 inch for perfect balance and actuation
Dampened, full-faced carbon graphite discs provide friction

All units include: flywheel, high strength bolts and bearings. Installation is bolt-in with no shimming or setup required.
Q: What clutch do you recommend and for what HP levels?
A: Clutches are often listed by HP ratings. We like to give recommendations based on overall usage.
Generally, for stock HPup to 650 HP cars that see heavy street use and occasional track use we find the Textralia OZ-700 to be a great clutch.We have used the OZ-700 on 750rwhp cars with great success, however we can't overemphasize how much driver and the type of driving impacts the longevity of any clutch.
If your budget allows, even for 650 horsepower and under bracket, we like to see customers upgrade to the Twin Disc setup since it yields smoother shifts at high RPM, and power shifting becomes more consistent.
For applications between 650 RWHP and 900 RWHP we recomend the Textralia Exo-Skel Twin Disc. In this HP range, the Twin Disc can hold up to some substantial abuse.
For 900+ HP, step up to the Textralia Triple Disc setup. For avid racers on the drag strip or the road coarse, this clutch has been an excellent performer for our customers over the years.
