Have you ever experienced “wheel hop” in your late model corvette? The “Wheel Hop” you feel is actually the result of the driveline shuttering throughout the car. The shock delivered  from wheel hop or driveline shudder can cause a variety of damage ranging from broken output shafts to trans / rear case breakage and separation.

The ECS Trans/Rear Brace is designed to minimize the occurrence of this breakage and keep your driveline in one piece!

The problem of differential case fracture, transmission case breakage and driveline deflection during hard acceleration on the street, road course or drag strip is a common, inherent problem with the C5 Corvette that often shears the differential away from the attachment point at the transmission. A trans / rear brace is the best way to limit the potential for case fracture on your big horsepower corvette.

Unlike other braces, the ECS Trans / Rear brace features large diameter aluminum tension rods which provide increased strength while allowing for the aluminum trans and rear to expand & contract with heating and cooling. The side covers, or differential plates, are laser cut to ensure proper fitment and their one piece design provides increased strength and rigidity. All Steel parts are Zinc Plated to ensure a tough finish that will resist rust and look good for years to come.

The ECS Trans / Rear brace features larger diameter aluminum tension rods. This new aluminum design provides increased strength and heat expansion principles that match that of the aluminum transmission and differential. Unlike other braces on the market, the ECS Custom Trans / Rear Brace does not require numerous washers taped together for assembly and the differential plate is one piece for increased rigitiy. Plates are constructed from zinc plated steel for a tough finish that is rust resistent.

The entire kit is easily installed or removed while using a lift or jack stands while the driveline is in the car. Lowering of the sub-frame is necessary for easier access to the M6/M12/A4 transmission brackets and is designed to be a true, bolt-on installation kit that can be installed in a few hours using regular, commonly found metric/SAE hand tools. There is also no driveline vibration/noise resonated into the passenger compartment/cabin of any kind and interior sound levels are unaffected from O.E.M.

The DTE Strut Brace adds strength without adding weight. The M6/M12 models only weigh approx. 19.7 lbs and the A4 model weighs approx. 18.4 lbs.

Each bracket is manufactured using laser-cut, 3/8" thick tempered steel for durability and exact fit. The adjustable strut rods are manufactured of stainless steel and are 9/16" in diameter for strength, while still being lightweight. We also utilize HD, steel-ball Heim joints at both ends for ease of assembly and strut rod durability. All threaded mounting holes deeply threaded to increase thread engagement and surface area for strength.

  • 3-piece differential girdle bracket set w/ strut rod mounting blocks (pre-welded)
  • 2-piece transmission bell housing bracket set w/ strut rod mounting blocks
  • 4 stainless steel adjustable main strut rods w/ integral "hex" machined into the rod
